Fluoron offers 3 sleeve materials to match your operational needs:

  • Fluoro-Clear (FEP)

  • Fluoro-Flex (PFA)

  • Fluoro-Stat (PTFE)

Benefits:

  • Eliminate process buildup and “stickies”
    • Glues, gums, starch, and scale
  • Prevent corrosion
  • Extend felt and canvas roller service life
  • Reduce rubber roller repair
  • Significantly reduces unplanned downtime
  • Improve quality – fewer customer rejections
  • Controls static discharge

Each heat-shrinkable cover is custom fabricated out of virgin grade fluoropolymer resin to the exact specifications of each process roller to ensure proper fit and bonding.

The covers can be installed by Fluoron technicians at our facility or at the customer’s site.

FEP transparent nonstick heat shrink cover

Fluoro-Clear™ (FEP Roll Covers)

Fluoro-Clear™ is Fluoron’s heat-shrinkable roll cover made from nonstick fluoropolymer, fluorinated ethylene propylene (FEP) to resolve process issues related to sticking, buildup, and corrosion.

Fluoro-Clear™ roll covers are popular due to their low cost, easy installation, and outstanding nonstick properties.

Fluoro-Clear™ heat-shrinkable sleeves meet FDA 21 CFR 177.2600 standards and is safe for food contact and medical applications.

PFA heat shrink nonstick fluoropolymer cover

Fluoro-Flex™ (PFA Roll Covers)

Fluoro-Flex™ series heat-shrinkable nonstick roll covers are engineered from virgin Perfluoroalkoxy alkanes (PFA) fluoropolymer resin.

PFA has higher temperature stability and improved flexural modulus compared to FEP material.

Recommended for rubber nip rollers and other high temperature or high compression applications.

PTFE carbon infused nonstick heat shrink cover

Fluoro-Stat™ (PTFE Roll Covers)

Fluoro-Stat™ custom anti-static nonstick fluoropolymer covers are designed from PTFE but engineered with graphite additives to enhance the material’s conductive properties.

This allows end-users to have a completely conductive roll cover that will not cause static discharge while providing a long-lasting, high wear, nonstick surface.
